We generally don’t like to have a needle stuck into our arm. It doesn’t hurt much, but it’s just the idea that gets to us. However, we do get injections when we know that we may become sick if we don’t take a recommended shot. Many diseases are prevented by building antibodies in our body to ward off a potential disease or infection. That's called being vaccinated. Vaccines are available for 18 dangerous or deadly diseases. Over the years millions of lives have been saved by vaccines. Infants, children, adolescents, teens and adults need different vaccines depending on their age, location, job, lifestyle, health and travel plans. There are vaccines that can be administered for the following diseases:

5) hepatitis A
6) hepatitis B
7) Hib (Haemophilus influenzae type b)
8) HPV (Human Papillomavirus)
